F is for... Fendi

Fendi’s all-over logo print is back and everyone with access to Instagram knows it. Logomania has taken over the fashion industry and of course luxury brands can’t miss out on the latest hype. Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld certainly got the memo and sensed it would be the perfect time for the Italian house to reintroduce its iconic double-F Zucca print. Definitely not without success, because the print quickly got popularised by famous celebs such as Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.

The logo print was originally created in 1965 by Karl Lagerfeld as an answer to Louis Vuitton’s famous monogram print. Lagerfeld quickly understood that in order to stand out, a brand should be instantly recognisable. The Zucca print was therefore used in all of Fendi’s designs from the 1970s until the late 1990s.
