Meiers d'Art 2025
Gabrielle Chanel nurtured a deep love for Coromandel screens, something that can still be admired in her apartment in Paris. The walls there are covered with beautiful works of art, such as embroidered floral designs. But it's not just about the artwork: colors such as jade green and sky blue, which are characteristic of Coromandel art, also play an important role. All these elements come to life in the collection and were clearly reflected in the show.
The collection was designed by Chanel's creative studio team, following the departure of former creative director Virginie Viard last June. Rumors about who will succeed her are still circulating, and according to insiders, official news is expected very soon! This evening in Hangzhou, was all about the talented Chanel professionals behind the scenes. They, quite rightly, took their well-deserved spot at the center of attention.

Details of the Show
The show is packed with details thanks to the many special techniques used to create this collection. To realize this collection, hundreds of craftsmen worked extremely hard, including embroiderers, goldsmiths, shoemakers, milliners, and many others.
Details are a defining aspect of Chanel, and that is evident in this collection. For example, some of the dresses feature beautiful embroidery, made entirely by hand. This requires enormous precision and patience, and often the craftsmen spend weeks or months on this. This dedication and attention to detail make the collection not only unique, but also a beautiful tribute to craftsmanship.
