Do you guarantee authenticity?
Yes, we only sell the real deal! All items are 100% guaranteed authentic. We have two experts working for us who have been in the field of luxury items for over 20 years. They authenticate each item before we sell it in our store.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept iDeal, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal and Bancontact. Customers from certain countries may be required to pay using bank wire transfer or confirmed PayPal address. The items remain to be ours until full payment is received.
Can I reserve an item I saw on your webshop, and see it in store first before I buy?
Of course! We’re happy to reserve one of our items for you. You may reserve an item for 24 hours maximum. Have you seen an item online you would like to reserve, so you can have a closer look in one of our stores? Please e-mail us on email@example.com or call us on (+310)20-3629002 (available daily between 12-6PM CET) and mention the l’Étoile Reference Number (SKU code), the name and model of the item and the store where the item is located. We love to see you at one of our three l'Étoile de Saint Honoré stores in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and are happy to further assist you.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes. Should you find it necessary to cancel an order, you may do so prior to shipping. Call us at (+310)20-3629002 to cancel. This phone number is available daily between 12-6PM CET (Amsterdam time).
Do you accept gift cards?
Yes, we accept gift cards, but only our own. These can be purchased in one of our three stores or on our webshop.
Is my information secure?
Yes. Your privacy and security are important to us. Our secure online checkout system is provided by Mollie and confirmed by Click to Verify - This site has chosen a thawte SSL Certificate to improve Website security.
Are prices negotiable?
Unfortunately not. Our prices are fixed at the amounts indicated on the webshop.
Do you ever have sales?
The good thing is, we have a sale every single day! Our preloved items are cheaper than the new ones in store. We don’t have regular sales and discounts on our webshop and in stores. From time to time we do provide discount codes or promotions, and we have an exclusive sales page on our webshop. Should you decide to wait to purchase an item until it will be discounted, please know that all our items are one of a kind. This means we only have one in stock!
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Atlantis Trading, the mother company of l’Étoile de St. Honoré – Luxury Vintage, is required by law to charge 21% sales tax within the EU.
Do I have to pay bank charges?
Yes, all charges regarding payments or other extra bank charges will be paid by you. This includes all bank charges during purchasing and/or returning any item.
Will I be charged for shipping fees?
We charge shipping fees for all orders placed with a total order amount under €500,-. On all orders above €500,-, shipping fees are on us. Our shipping fees include handling, packaging and secured & registered shipment. This means the order needs a signature upon delivery. We ship all our orders secured and registered for both your and our convenience.
What are the shipping fees?

Can I purchase an order online and pick up in person?
Yes, this is a possible option to select during check-out. You can pick-up the order at the location where the item currently is located. You will receive an e-mail from our side when the item is available for pick-up. Please try to pick-up your item within 5 business days. Did you place a shipment order but do you prefer to pick up your order instead? Send us an e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (+310)20-3629002 (available daily between 12-6PM CET) right after you have placed the order, as we aim to ship your order as soon as possible. Please let us know which store you prefer to visit for pick-up.
What carrier(s) does l’Étoile use?
We mostly use PostNL (International Parcel Tracking) to ship our items. If you wish to use any other carrier, feel free to let us know as soon as you have placed the order by sending us an e-mail on email@example.com or call us on (+310)20-3629002 (available daily between 12-6PM CET). Other options could be: DPD, DHL or UPS.
When will my item be shipped?
We aim to ship your order within 1 to 2 business days from the receipt of payment. Once the order has been shipped, you will receive a track & trace code via e-mail or SMS so you can track your order. If we ship with PostNL (International Parcel Tracking) you can track your order via this link with the track & trace code provided.
When will my order be delivered?
Delivery times are based on your location, weekends and holidays. We ship our items from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Via this link you can see the estimation of transit time in days with PostNL (International Parcel Tracking). Bear in mind that local post companies might take longer to deliver your package.
What value do you declare on customs forms?
We love our international buyers! Unfortunately, we cannot lie on customs forms. We mark all of our customs forms as used items (not stating the brand), valued at the amount that you paid for it (minus shipping fees).
Do you combine shipping?

Who is responsible for customs fees/taxes?
The buyer of the item is responsible for any customs duties or taxes that are applied by his/her country.
What happens if my order gets lost during shipment?
First of all, we’re very sorry this happened. If the shipment gets lost by our chosen carrier, we will start an investigation with the carrier. This normally takes up to 10 business days but in special cases may take longer. Should the carrier confirm your order is lost, your order will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund. We will refund only after the investigation is conducted and not before.
Do you accept returns?
Yes. Items purchased on our webshop may be returned for a full refund within 14 days after you have received it. This implies webshop orders which we shipped to you and on webshop orders you have picked up in store. The security tag must be attached and intact to receive a full refund. Items postmarked on the 14th day after the item was received are eligible for the return refund.
In order to avoid unnecessary returns, please read the description and view the photos carefully. Please note the size measurements of the item and any flaws. Please remember all our items are second hand. This always shows somewhere, even if we mention they are in excellent vintage condition.
What is the security tag?
We place a security tag on each bag that we sell. It is not removable without scissors. It will not damage the bag in anyway, and is easy to remove but it just is not re-attachable. If you wish to return the bag for any reason, it must have this tag attached.
How do I return my online order?
Such a shame you decided to return your online order. This implies webshop orders which we shipped to you and on webshop orders you have picked up in store. Please let us know by sending an e-mail to email@example.com, saying you wish to return your order. Afterwards, print out the return form below, add this to the box, close the box securely and ship the item back to us on your own cost. We strongly advise you to ship the item secured, for the total value of the item, and registered, so in case of a loss there will be no issues. If you choose not to ship the item secured and registered and something happens during shipment, please know that we cannot be held accountable.

I purchased an item in one of your three stores in Amsterdam. Can I return it as well?
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns on items purchased physically in one of our three stores in Amsterdam (Heiligeweg 9, Nieuwe Spiegelstraat 27 or Reestraat 24).
Can I return an item purchased on your webshop in one of your stores?
Yes, this is possible. For more information, please send us an e-mail on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (+310)20-3629002 (available daily between 12-6PM CET).
When can I expect the refund of my order?
Once we have received your return, we will process the refund within 14 days via the payment method you chose to place the order.
Do you offer layaway?
Yes. When you would like to purchase an item on layaway basis, please send us an e-mail with the link of the item you would like to purchase to email@example.com. Please keep in mind you can use the layaway program for just one item at the time.
What are the terms of layaway?
A minimum of €100 down payment is required to put an item on layaway. The full payment must be received within 4 terms, with a maximum of 4 months. You as the buyer determine the terms of the payment, but let these know to us upfront.
What happens if I cancel my layaway item or want to exchange it?
The down payment of €100 will be non-refundable in the event of the layaway being canceled or exchanged. Changing items during the duration of a layaway is treated as exchange. The €100 fee will apply. The amount paid for a canceled layaway item will not be transferred to a new layaway, but will be refunded.
Can I extend my layaway term?
We no longer allow extensions on layaway items. If full payment is not received by the end of the 4 months after purchase, the layaway will be canceled and the item placed back in our inventory to be re-sold. You will be refunded all payments made up to that date, minus the €100 non-refundable portion and any change fees incurred.
How do I pay the down payment and monthly terms?
Payment must be completed within 30 days from the date of initial payment. If the 30 days expires without full payment, your deposit plus any additional payments made will be refunded to you, minus the non-refundable portion.

What if I find a free item on your webshop?
For obvious reasons, we do not sell free items (excl. shipping fee). If you come across an item that is listed for €0.00, then that's a mistake from our side. Please don’t order, because we will not ship the item and we will cancel the order. We will not refund the paid shipping fees in this case, which is according to European Law.
