Dior price increase 2021: The new prices

The price increase of Dior 2021

You are probably already aware of the annual price hike of Chanel and Louis Vuitton. You guessed it right, Dior is next. As a great loving designer, Dior cannot be left behind, is what they probably thought.

Dior's previous price increase took place last year, in July 2020. The Dior price increase 2020 was very bizarre, because even during the pandemic, there was apparently a huge demand for luxury goods such as designer items. But the pandemic did not stop them this year either. The demand for design products continues to be hugely popular again, and we love it! (except for the actual price increase, of course)

On February 1, 2021, Dior increased prices in the United States. The prices of the Dior bags go up to 13% during this price increase. The price of the Dior Saddle bag is rising the highest (surprise, surprise). New Dior bags such as the Dior St. Honoré Tote and the Dior Caro bag also rose in price. This also applies to most bags from the Cruise 2021 collection. In this collection, the bags have increased between €80,- and €250,-. In addition to Dior bags, there is very likely also a price increase for scarves, clothes, shoes and other accessories.

The price increase at Dior is also announced in Europe and the United Kingdom. Probably much sooner than we think!

Dior: old versus new prices

Given the price increase of Dior in the United States is already known, we show the increase in dollars.

Dior Saddle Bag Medium Calfskin 3350 (USD) 3800 (USD) 13,4%

The most popular bags from Dior (hello Saddle bag!) have gone up in price. In addition, it is striking that the price increase is greatest with the mini variants of these popular Dior bags. Does this mean the mini bags will be back this year? We love!

How often does Dior raise its prices?

In principle, Dior announces the known price increase once a year. The month in which this takes place is always a surprise. For example, the increase in previous years took place in July and October. Surprise, surprise, it will always be a big surprise. Who knows, maybe there will be a price increase twice a year next year, or even this year?! Let's see and hope not...

Earlier in the blog, we mentioned that Dior isn't the only designer brand pushing up their prices. Chanel and Louis Vuitton were already ahead of Dior earlier this year. Read all the facts about this in our previous blogs; Louis Vuitton price increase and Chanel price increase.
