Chanel revealed their 2021 prices

Let's start this blog by saying we actually didn't want to write this blog, at all. But late 2020, the gossip started. Will Chanel increase prices again in 2021? Well, here it is. The French Luxury brand Chanel has increased their prices last week and we are secretly crying, mostly because of our account balance.

On January 15th 2021, it was announced prices will go up in the US, Asia and Europe, making our and your dream bags even more expensive. Curious to know the new prices? As always, we've got your back. Let's have a look at the new prices, the old prices, the percentage of increase and, most importantly, our prices for the same model, but vintage. In 2020, prices of some items had gone up with more than 20%, for example the Classic Small Flap bag. The new increase is a bit more reasonable than the previous one, with percentages between 4% to 7%. Don't be fooled, this could still mean an increase of €300 or more. Eek!

The recent price increase mostly affects the true classic and iconic pieces from Chanel, such as the Classic Flap Bag and Wallet on Chain (WOC). Other affected models include the Chanel 19 Bag and the Chanel Gabrielle Bag, but since we don't sell these beautiful pieces (yet), we will focus on the models we also sell. Are you ready for this?

Chanel: the new prices in Euros

At the moment, the old prices are still visible on the official Chanel webshop. So, when will Chanel actually increase the prices? Rumor goes the new prices will be rolled out on the Chanel webshop around the 22nd of January 2021.

Why a vintage Chanel is worth it

As you can see, it is still very valuable to purchase a vintage Chanel bag. You can get a vintage Chanel item for half of the price a new one costs. However, the prices of Classic Chanel bags on the vintage market are rising as well. If we're looking at our prices from our last Chanel price increase blog in May 2020, prices have gone up with approximately €500. The reason for this? High demand and rising buying prices, to bring it to you fair and square. We know it sounds cheesy, but take it from us: now is the best time to invest in a Chanel bag, as prices will continue to rise every year.
