Gucci: Announces Sabato de Sarno as its new creative director

Gucci's new creative director is announced!

From today, Gucci can add a new name to its list of creative directors. After the abrupt departure of Alessandro Michele, 2 months ago, the big question in the fashion world was who could fill this popular vacancy.

Alessandro has brought a wonderful new twist to the brand. Many people could appreciate his work, he combined the classic features of the brand with new contemporary features. In his last show, 68 pairs of twins walked as models. He had a fascination with twins.

As of today, Sabato de Sarno fill this position. A name that may not be so popular yet but he already has quite a bit of experience in the fashion world. He has been a important and respected person in Valentino's design studio for the past 13 years. He was a key person in giving Valentino a big come back from classic brand to one of the trendiest brands today. There are rumours that he has co-designed last year's most talked-about wedding dress, worn by Nicola Peltz at her marriage to Brooklyn Beckham.

"I am deeply honoured to take on the role as creative director of Gucci," says Sabato de Sarno. We still have to wait for his debut, which will take place at Milan Fashion Week in September. We can't wait!
