Hermès Kelly, size 32, is made of brown Box Calf Leather. The Kelly bag was named after Grace Kelly when she was photographed holding the bag to hide a pregnant belly. It was originally introduced in 1892 as the Haut à courroies bag to hold saddles then later redesigned to become a travel bag, Sac à dépêches, in 1930. It was re-named the Kelly in 1977. This bag is the perfect Hermès classic collectors bag.
The bag has gold-plated hardware and the main compartment closes with the famous ‘Kelly’ closure. The inside is made of leather and has two slip-in pockets and a pocket that can be closed with a zipper. The Kelly is famous for its trapezoid shape, two triangular gussets, and sculpted flap. The Hermès lock and keys are still attached to the bag. The bag can be worn by hand or on the wrist.
The overall condition of this bag is good, however, the outside leather has a few scratches due to usage. The inside also has some signs of usage. This bag comes with its original dust bag. This item comes with an authenticity card from the store.
