Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille in Monogram Canvas. “Jeune fille” literally translates to “Young lady”. It is the French term for an unmarried young woman, as well as one of Louis Vuitton's older crossbody bags. Even though the name makes it sound otherwise, the Louis Vuitton Jeune Fille is a perfect bag for women of all ages and also loved by men. This crossbody bag has been around for quite some time. A lot of the vintage editions that you can find nowadays pre-date Louis Vuitton’s use of date codes. This means that the Jeune Fille was created before 1982.
The bag has Vachetta leather trims and the shoulder strap is adjustable which means the bag can be worn crossbody and on the shoulder. The main compartment closes with a zipper and the hardware of the bag is gold-plated. The bag has one slip-in pocket on the back and one pocket on the front which can be accessed through a buckle closure. The inside of the bag is brown colored and includes one small pocket that can be closed with a zipper.
The overall condition of the bag is good, the canvas is still in good shape. However, the Vachetta leather of the straps and closures shows some discoloration and scratches and the inside of the inner pocket shows some signs of usage.
